Albergo San Marco - Venice

3-star hotel steps from Piazza San Marco with complimentary breakfast and two on-site restaurants

Location & Access

Albergo San Marco Venice sits directly behind Piazza San Marco, less than a one-minute walk to the square, the Doge's Palace, and St. Mark's Basilica. The hotel provides easy access to the Vaporetto water bus stop, connecting guests to Santa Lucia Station and other Venice islands within minutes. Guests arriving by water taxi are dropped at the southern side of the square, a 300-meter walk to the hotel over just one bridge.

Dining & Breakfast

The hotel operates two restaurants, with one directly facing the square and serving authentic Venetian cuisine alongside Italian and international dishes. A complimentary breakfast buffet is included daily, offering scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, cheeses, cold meats, pastries, and a selection of hot beverages. The on-site bar provides a cocktail menu, and guests receive a 10% discount on dinner at the hotel's restaurant.

Rooms & Amenities

All guest rooms at Albergo San Marco are air-conditioned and include satellite TV, a minibar, and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Some rooms offer views over typical canals or rooftops, and the hotel was refurbished in 2025, with modern bathrooms and comfortable bedding. Guests can use the luggage storage service for early arrivals or late departures, and a lift is available to all floors-a convenience not found in many Venice hotels.

Services & Staff

The 24-hour front desk provides concierge service, assistance with travel arrangements, and local tour bookings, including walking tours and private water taxi transfers. Staff at Albergo San Marco Venice arrange airport pick-up and drop-off, and can organize a porter to help with luggage from the water taxi dock (porterage fee starts at €25 for two suitcases). The hotel also offers daily housekeeping, dry cleaning, laundry, and ironing service upon request.

Family rooms are available, with extra beds or larger accessible rooms upon request, and babysitting or child services can be arranged through reception. The hotel provides business facilities including fax and photocopying, and a 24-hour security system with CCTV, smoke alarms, and key card access ensures guest safety.
